Bridal Shower Preview

IMG_5297

Its late and I'm forcing myself to go to bed even though I want to sit up and go thru all of my presents one by one. Its like Christmas! It was so completely wonderful and the theme was totally me and totally not me which you'll understand more of later.

Here I am with some of my family! They include my mom, my aunts, my grandma and my cousins wives. (and I'm wearing one of my new aprons)

Thank you to Celeste my lovely, lovely friend who took over my camera and took 200 pictures. She did really and I'm so happy! I had a shower in Sacramento and got about 5 pictures. But B's mom just mailed me hers so you will be seeing those as well!

The shower had a retro/mid-century theme that followed all the way down to the food. For the record, this was the first time I ever had jello-molded thingie.

I received three different aprons. One was elegant, this one was sooo adorable (I will take a picture of the back soon) and the other one was..... um..... errr.... lacy (and it came with a tickler, thats right, I said tickler)

Can you believe this loot?! I can hardly wait to get home from work tomorrow and subject you to thousands of blog posts on the importance of the perfect white dinner plate and a 1950's toaster.

  1. Oh what fun!! The theme was over the top fantastic!!
I love that cupcake apron and if it comes within one square mile of me, I will snatch it away from you and not feel bad about it. At all.
I must see more photos of your loot!

  5. So fun---oh my gosh---when I saw that jello mold I wondered WHAT IN THE WORLD----so glad you told me it was a theme party and not someone's serious idea of shower food! What a great idea~My daughter is getting married this summer, so I'm all over the wedding thing! Have a great week~

  12. SOOOO fun! Cute apron! My gripe with cute aprons is they are too cute toactually cook in...but with a tickler... well that's a whole different story..
