Awards, Interviews and lots of Linkage!

I want to thank all of you who come and read and comment. I love reading your blogs and I do it daily... even when I should be doing other things :) A special thank you to those who include me on your blogs. Its such a thrill!

This week was a big week... I received 2 awards and an interview!

If you don't feel like reading about me blabbing about myself (which I totally understand) please skip to the links. There are a lot of good bloggers in this post and they totally deserve the acknowledgements!

Have you noticed the lovely commenter Chocolate Covered Daydreams? Doesn't it just conjure up all types of deliciousness and fantasy? Well, she also has a blog called On Being... in which she interviews people like... me. I have to admit that I was surprised when she asked to interview me. But she is a fantastic interviewer and I really had to think about some of the answers to her questions. So stop by her blogs, you'll find them funny and entertaining!

On to awards! This one totally cracked me up. Please tell me you recognize that mighty fine leg lamp. If you don't please email immediately and we will rectify the situation. Like it says... It's a major award! It is, it says so! Thank you Mrs. E from Easy Street. You are going to love her and her great stories. Ask her about bats. She loves bats and they love her. Plus she's a teacher.. and they always have good stories.

The rules are simple: Post the award on your site, pass it on to a blogger(s) that make you smile or laugh (or have sexy legs- OK I added that myself) and let them know they have been given the award.

The awards go to:

Cottage Girl- she is such a complete sweetheart and I always find myself smiling, or sighing, or laughing when I stop by her blog. I'm also hoping someday she'll let me move into her cottage.

Robynn's Ravings- she is hysterical and crazy. Thats all I need to stay.

The very amazing Yelena over at June Daisies has given me an award! She is incredibly talented and I stop by there daily for her fantastic photos. She is also smart and apparently speaks no less than 229 languages... or something close to that.

My assignment is to list 10 things you might not know about me and pass this on to 10 people.

Here goes:

-I'm afraid of the dark -I once threw up canned spinach and milk on my moms dinner plate -Last year B & I walked 39.3 miles for the Avon Walk -I have 11 undeveloped rolls of film from college sitting in a box -I've never broken a bone in my body -I miss ballet and still randomly take out my point shoes and walk around in them -I love old musicals -Cell phone voice mails freak me out and I rarely listen to them, although I do text and email -I tap dance in grocery store aisles -I have a habit of reading menu items out loud to B... even when he is already reading the menu himself.

I'm passing this on to... Crumbs, Urban Cowboy, Wanna Walk Along?, Flat Creek Farm, Princess Flufferbutt, Lemonade Makin' Mama, Spruce Hill, Rural Revival, Farmgirl Paints and The Read Baron.

I know the award itself is a hoot, but, frankly, I'm honored that you sent one my way!!!

I read your interview on On Being Interviewed. Wonderful interview!
So great to find out a bit more about you ... It is interesting, isn't it how priorities change as the years pass ... Holidays have become more important to you as you think about having a family.
It is those simple things in life that keep it real and beautiful, isn't it?
You are truly an amazing girl, Dawn.
    Congratulations!
Thanks for taking me along on your journey.
