#6 / 52 Food Adventures: Creamy Avocado Pasta

Picture from Two Peas and their Pod

This wasn't originally what I was going to post today but the computer gods are working against me.
However, I am glad I decided to throw this together at the last minute.

This creamy avocado pasta doesn't have any cream or butter but uses avocado instead for the smooth consistency.

I made such a small batch I couldn't get it smooth and didn't bother trying to take a pretty picture but
the flavor was all there.
I did add parmesan cheese because I just looove cheese.

I'm going to play with variations of this for the Peanut.
I love avocado but I think this would work for people who don't love it like I do.

The combination of the avocado with lime and cilantro
make for a really refreshing spin on ordinary pasta.

This picture is just to make up for the ugly pasta picture I took :)
Thank you for the beanie Auntie Christina!

  1. Pasta looks great but that FACE wins the prize for the greatest! He looks so kissable . . . so adorable!

  2. This sounds really good! I've totally been slacking on blogging about my food adventures, but we're still trying new things. Thanks to your bison suggestion, we had ale braised bison stew last night. I found the bison to be really flavorful when slow cooked. I bought stew chunks, though I'm sure cutting up a whole roast would have tasted even better. I couldn't bring myself to pay $35 for a little 2 pound roast, though. It was really good! And, I also tried beets in a smoothie. Yeah, major fail. Sprig drank it like it was going out of style, but I couldn't get past the first sip. ;)

  3. Sounds yummY I love avocados (and cheese!), so this is something I want to try. :)

Peanut is such a happy child... such a joy to see. :)

  4. wow this looks amazing! I must try this recipe soon.

  5. I love everything and anything with avocados in it, and this looks delicious! Here's my adventure for the week:

  6. Update: tried it. LOVED it! I'll definitely be adding this recipe to the rotation. It was so fresh and tasty!
