Dinner with friends
I had planned to post a giveaway today but it's nearly midnight, I don't have the post put together yet and my kitchen looks like this.
B and a few of his friends came over after work today and we all had dinner.
It worked out perfectly because while Peanut napped today I managed to make a fantastic savory tart.
I spied this Cauliflower and Caramelized Onion Tart on Smitten Kitchen a while back.
I made the tart in phases throughout the day because that's what you do with a little one who demands your attention.
Mine looks a bit different than hers and I suppose I could have roasted the cauliflower longer for more color.
Seriously though, I wouldn't change a thing. Completely fantastic.
I used the marscarpone substitution at the end because although I adore marscarpone, I don't adore it's price.
I also think you could just throw this all into a store bought pie crust if you wanted.
Try it- it would be perfect for Easter.
Come back tomorrow for a giveaway!
PS. Anyone else having issues with their post's formats changing? Everytime I check a post all the spaces have been eliminated and I have to add them back into the html format. Help.
