Psssst. Over here. I've discovered something new. OK maybe you've already seen these but I had never seen them before.
This may just be the newest craze in cupcakeries everywhere. We saw these at Patchwork a few weekends ago and I knew I had to share them with you.
They are called Push Cakes and they are made by Meringue Bake Shop. It works like a classic push pop but it's filled with layers of cake and frosting.
My friend Courtney had the white cake with lemon curd and blueberries and I had the chocolate mint chip cake.
Mine was vegan and you would never know it- so they get my vote for sure.
Taking cute and fun to another level.
On a side note, that day at Patchwork it was absolutely frigid and quite wintery feeling.
That didn't last long. Here you can see Peanut hanging out in grandma and grandpa's backyard. It's been in the mid-70's here. I blame the weather (and the Peanut) on the fact that I have approximately 1% of my Christmas shopping done. We're getting the tree tomorrow and I just can't wait!

Oh my goodness, never seen one of those! I think I may have just completed the shopping... Now just need to wait for deliveries and start wrapping - my favourite thing! Since children I do most of my shopping online... Lazy! Xxx

ReplyDeleteNo wrapping for me this year ,,,putting each gift in a store bag! ,,,and i cut my list down these last two years so i don't have to do as much shopping or overspend! It must be harder for you to shop this year with Peaunut! luvuallbye
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm just sleep deprived, but my first thought when I saw "push cakes" was that they were special cakes to reward or inspire oneself to give birth. TRUE STORY. You know, kind of like a push present? Gaaaaawwwwwleeeee, I need to get a grip. Maybe a cupcake would help.
