It's all relative
Back at the beginning of August I talked about spending the day in Laguna Beach with our niece and nephew.
B took lots of pictures but I left one out.
I uploaded it to flickr and then decided not to post a bikini shot here on the great interwebs. I mean, feeling comfortable wearing a bikini (while pregnant or otherwise) vs. looking at a picture of yourself in a bikini are two entirely different things. Let's not even get into posting a picture of yourself at 7 months pregnant on the internet. I could dissect that picture a million different ways.
The thing is... this was taken 2 months ago and now I look back at it and think I look quite slim. Isn't that usually the case?
I've decided that one of the great advantages of being very pregnant is not being able to see your thighs. I just avoid the area completely when looking in a full length mirror. I just assume that what I can't see are not chubby thighs and cellulite but actually long Heidi Klum-like legs.
I could be a runway model from the waist down and not.even.know.it.
Oh and the fact that my stomach is stretched so tight it seems to have smoothed out my love handles.
See, pregnancy really does have it's perks.

This made me giggle. When I was pregnant with my third, I wore a bikini and thought I looked pretty good. Then, not to long ago I was looking back through my photos and came across some of me in that bikini...wow. I called my sister-in-law (my husband's sister, we are always at the beach with them each summer) and said,"Please. Don't ever let me wear a bikini when I'm pregnant again!" She said,"Don't say that you'll be pregnant again!!" I think that worried her more. :) We are technically through. Anyway, you look great! Have fun these last few weeks. And thank you for your comment...it made my morning to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteYou look sooooo beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteXxxx
You look so cute! One of the things I loved about being pregnant is that my belly was SUPPOSED to be big and round so I could "let it all hang out." I was never brave enough to wear a bikini though...pregnant or not!!

I think that you look adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing. I never wear a bikini...except when I'm thousands of miles away. And then when I showed my shot I was all covered up and shy...ha! I think you looked great. WoW!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely gorgeous. And the fact that you would even put on a bikini when pregnant should be celebrated far and wide.
ReplyDeleteI think you look sooo fantastic! I mean, heck, I don't even look that good NOT pregnant!! I love love love that you wore a bikini and that you posted the pic. Pregnancy is beautiful, and it looks especially good on you!
ReplyDeleteI love your bikini and I love that you rocked it! Own it, like the others said, you're allowed to let it all hang out. I seriously can't wait until I can let my belly hang! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou do look like a model in your bikini! What a hot momma you are. I was blessed with those extra long legs. When I was preggo I still had a nice lap for kids and babies to sit on. But my legs and arms where the only part of my body that stayed skinny during my preggo days. LOL
ReplyDeleteGosh I miss those days... *wink*
