has come to an end. We went to the beach, to Disneyland, to the park, to a Japanese Festival and to the pool. We ate, we talked, we played, we walked.
Then B and I went to bed and we slept a long time.
When we woke this morning things felt odd. It was quiet and there was no breakfast to make or excursions planned. There was no laughter in the other room. There was no pitter patter of feet running around.
For our first time being responsible for other human beings for longer than a day or evening, I'd say it was pretty successful. There were no injuries, no crying and hopefully very minimal mental damage.
We learned a lot about watching children in extremely busy areas and divying up responsibilities. We had great fun and really enjoyed spending time with our niece and nephew.
Who knew 11 could be so grown-up and 7 could be so
I'm so glad you had a great time! It sounds like you did so much fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou and B make awesome parents, I just know it! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad that you enjoyed yourself!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh good times!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time! That's a great sign that you missed the sound of little feet in the morning. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo the 7 year old is a bit like his/her aunt??? (I just had to say it before B did!)
