I thought I would get on Etsy and take a look at knitted caps for newborns as a way of reminding myself of all the good things to come. I'm now totally and completely obsessed... as if you're surprised.
This little bunny hat (complete with bows) comes from After The Bump where you can even pick your own colors!
Do you think it would be odd if I only dressed my baby in photography props?

It's so soft and delicious and I love the buttons on the ears. Created by Kinley Ash.
Kathy Nielsen Designs has this adorable sweet pea cocoon. I just love the cocoons!
Oh.My.God. There are no words.

All Things Belle has a number of cocoons I also love.
This boutique has knits for newborns all the way to adults!
SO cute! I love the monkey hat, and just might have to invest in a cocoon for some picture opportunities. :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog from LeAnna's. Such a cool story you have! God is good and I am so glad you are experiencing the blessing of a child inside of you. I am pregnant with my first, he is due June 13th, and I have loved every step of it. So fun to read about your journey. And these knits on etsy are so cute! I think I may be obsessed now and might need to invest in one or ten for baby boy's newborn shots :)

ReplyDeleteOh my word honey... you just buy every single one! And then post your baby and take a million photos to remember his/her cuteness with!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this journey! :)
Oh so cute! Now I know which direction to go for what I am knitting for you.
ReplyDeleteRestraint, my dear. :) It's so easy to go overboard with all those sweet stuff that you see. But then, what the heck, it's your first. You're most certainly entitled. :)
ReplyDeleteI really need the pattern for that bear hat.
ReplyDeleteBut then there's this...
Elfin Hat
And this...
Worms In The Grass Hat
And this...

You might have to sign up to see the Lion Brand ones (the first two). And this is just a sample!! There's this one author (Candi Jensen) that makes patterns that would just make you fall over with the cute.
OH MY GOODNESS! This almost makes me want another...almost;) You have so much to look forward to girlie:)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many "takes" the photographer has to do simply because Baby wakes up before he/she can photograph. *smile*
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
Oh, these pictures make me want to have another one and my baby is only 6 mos old! (and dig out my knitting needles!)
ReplyDelete☺ Celeste
oh these are all too cute, I have had the knitted obsession for so long, my bff is having a little girl in June and she is getting some hand knitted digs made by Carrie (vintag wren) I am so excited! I can;t wait to see what you are having...any inclinations?
ReplyDeleteI really want that monkey hat...for myself...hehehe
ReplyDeleteDarling, as you are dear. Enjoy the wonderful pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that. It made me smile! You'll be an amazing mother..
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you! How cute are they?!! And I can't wait to see your little one all dressed up!
ReplyDeleteTOO. STINKIN. CUTE! I'm due May 28, and thanks to you, am off to spend some moolah! Enjoy your pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. The hard part is that they grow so fast that once they are in it for a month, time to buy more.
ReplyDeleteI love you way of thinking though...remind yourself that the nausea is for a very GOOD reason!
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute, so which ones did you order???
Where were these when I was pregnant, I would have ordered quite a few.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I'm already planning out what I'm going to make for your babe. Thanks for the ideas :) -Holly
ReplyDeleteOh, the cuteness! I can't stand it! It also makes me want to learn to knit, which is surprising since I've always been intimidated by the two-needle thing. Thanks for sharing these cuties!! -Tammy
ReplyDeleteThe sad part is this makes you also somehow want to become a carnivore and nibble your cute baby up! I mean that in a good way, but you'll know what I mean when you see those bubble baby thighs...which are irresistable and the heavenly smell of a baby is intoxicating.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, you'll feel better soon. And yes dressing them is the best part until they get old enough to decide their own wardrobe choices, Lord help me we need the fashion police for princess tennis shoes with dresses!
If you get a chance pop over and see my post from the kids earlier in the week, they shoved balls under their shirts to imitate Momma's pregnant tummy, it will put a smile on your face!
My favorite one is the pea one. So cute.
ReplyDeleteOMG, I think my brain just exploded from cuteness overload. If you dressed up your baby in only photography props I would love you forever. Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! Don't you just want it ALL! I want to buy it and I don't even have newborns anymore! Sheesh. Then there's all the cute toddler stuff. I might as well just cash in my (measly) 401K and go shopping.
ReplyDeleteOh my God the hats! They're adorable.
ReplyDeleteI should warn you though... newborn fingers tend to snag in knits. ow!
I love those hats, especially the monkey one. I'm not having a baby anytime soon but I think I need to order that one. So freaking cute. I'm weak from the cuteness too. :-)
