Hello friends!
First I'd like to thank you all for continuing to visit during my very sporadic posting. I'm feeling more and more energy daily and I am so very grateful. I'm not sure what you all come here for as the focus of my blog changes on a weekly basis. Is it food? Travel? Wedding? Baby? Gibberish? If you're hanging around here you must like the gibberish.
This Thursday marks 13 weeks and we're celebrating the end of the first trimester. Some say its 12, some say 13, some say 14 weeks. If you divide the 40 weeks of pregnancy then it's actually 13 weeks and 3 days. If you want to be specific.
I'm spending this week visiting with friends. Literally every other evening is a dinner date with friends I haven't seen in ages. We're also heading into wedding season and all the events that surround it. We'll be attending 4 this summer and 1 this fall. Oh and the baby showers will be starting up.
Right now we have something on the calendar every weekend from now until the end of June. Yay for more energy because I want to enjoy all of this!
Posts should become more regular and I'm dying to catch up on your blogs too. I feel so out of touch :)
What is your spring schedule like?
Sigh, you're back. Life is now better. And our Spring is filled with multiple trips out of town, a college wedding, a memorial service and that pesky wedding thing.
ReplyDeleteI come here for all of the above! Yay for 2nd trimester and more energy! They (whoever they are) say that the 2nd trimester is the most energetic one of all. I'd have to agree, though. Our spring is full of stuff. Just stuff. Trips to other states, yard work, graduations, banquets, taking pictures for formals, crazy toddler and barking dogs.
ReplyDeleteIt's not gibberish...it's YOU and I love it!
ReplyDeleteFor me, spring is about gardening, bees and getting that house painted...or started, I hope!

What a busy life, and a lovely shadow picture. We're always delighted to hear whatever you have to say!
ReplyDeleteHurray for the second trimester!!! That's the best season of pregnancy! I really enjoy your "gibberish" as you call it. Your posts about interesting foods are what first attracted me but it all keeps me coming back...beautiful weddings, awesome honeymoon and now baby (a personal favorite of mine!) That, and it's fun to follow and get to know someone so far away from where I live by reading about the stuff you do. Blogging is like a grown up form of having pen pals...only better!
ReplyDelete☺ Celeste
Glad you're feeling better! What Cottage Dreams said, the second trimester is the best one.
ReplyDeleteMy spring is filled with roller derby and goodness knows what else. Time will tell!!
Have fun visiting! :)
I actually have the intention of slowing down this summer! No more saying yes to comittments when I really mean "no". I just want to spend some time being a momma to 3 kids, not a chicken with it's head cut off.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see if I can actually accomplish this. :o)
Glad to hear you're feeling more energetic. YAY for 2nd trimester!!! I can't believe it! It's going so fast! (That's of course, from an outsiders perspective--you may think otherwise! :o))
Oh, if ONLY we had plans for every weekend! So, I intend on spending my Saturdays at the pool, or shopping for the house & little Fraggle.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your upcoming dates!! Thank God you've got our energy back, or you'd be in trouble Sister! :-)
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Congratulations on your new baby : ) How exciting. Glad you are feeling better. I saw your comment above mine at Enjoying the small things blog and I came over to say hi: )
ReplyDeleteYou sound better! More perky. :) I thought I would tell you a funny story about gibberish. My sister-in-law taught my kids gibberish; she uses it in music training with students in order to loosen them up, get creative juices flowing, etc. It's (much like you might guess) a bunch of nonsense syllables strung together any old way. So, my kids and I were driving along one day and they enjoy highly intellectual conversation, which we were definitely having. In the middle of this stimulating discussion my oldest daughter said,"What if when we burped it came out gibberish?!" And that statement could not have not been followed by a very long series of made up gibberish burps, right? Like I said...very intellectual family.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've written that all out I think I am sorry, but I spent the time so I'm hitting post. I hope it comes across as funny, because at the time, it really was.
If gibberish is what you write, then that is a language I like to hear. :)
Woo hoo for the second trimester! :) Glad you're "back." :)
ReplyDeletenot nearly as busy as yours! I am so glad things are going well and that you are getting the energy of the second trimester! how fun to shop for prego clothes for weddings! I miss you but totally understand, I have been out of touch too!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, the bowling ball on my abdomen will debut in several weeks and my back, shoulders and tummy are tired of lugging this babe around. So it will be sleepless nights and tired days for me come this spring but a bundle of bliss to love that makes it worth all the work. Guess you know why my posts are sporadic now too! Enjoy your energy boost while you have it now and get your nesting done while you are feeling good. I'm too uncomfortable to get it done and my other offspring are determined to use up all my time and energy for their needs!
ReplyDeleteMy spring schedule has been killer, too. School ends in May here in Missouri so April is just killer. We've just come off of spring break and the kids are wiggy. Plus, we have standardized testing, book fairs, spring fever, and all the year-end whoha. CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteBut. I have been missing you and wanted to drop by and tell you so. Take care, dear one. Happy weekend.
