Have I told you how much I love Christmas music? I really do.
I respect the right of people to hate it, especially since it starts playing sometime around Halloween. But for me hearing Christmas music makes me giddy, I clap my hands and sigh and sing along and dance in the living room and giggle and so much more ridiculousness.
This year Christmas is starting early! Its a flurry of events around here and we wanted to be prepared. My mom started decorating this weekend. While she has been decorating the house I've been turning it into a disaster area with my baking.
I can't do Christmas baking without Christmas music. I just can't. So, I've broken out the holiday CDs.
This is not your typical Christmas CD but its a very pretty wintery sort of sound.
Anyhow, I have the Sarah McLachlan Wintersong CD. I've put it on my ipod, put it on my mom's ipod and backed up my ipod library and now I can send it on its way.
So listen to the songs here as they are on the CD and if you want it let me know.
I would be more than happy to send it out to the first person to respond with a Yes, please send it to me... or a Absolutley I would love it.... or a I can't wait to give that to my boyfriend because he has been dying for Sarah McLachlan Wintersong...
If its not your cup of tea don't worry about passing it up!
I love Christmas music, too--and I hadn't heard Sarah's Christmas album. Love it! That is the voice of an angel.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh! I wasn't in the Christmas mood before --- too many things on the mind, but thanks to you I found a bit of solitude and "A Merry Little Christmas" spirit.
ReplyDeleteWe have this in our holiday music mix and I love it so mellow and relaxing. Yaaaay, I'm getting excited for Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteI love this album - I would shout out a "yes, send it to me" but I already have it! Christmas music is banned from our house until after Thanksgiving, but since I'm playing several Advent and Christmas songs in church in December I just *have* to start practicing earlier. : )
ReplyDeleteI've not heard this before, but it's really lovely! I'd love it, if you haven't already given it away or have someone else in mind.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, let me check with Mrs. E and I'll get back to you Kastie!
ReplyDeleteI believe Kastie that I have a present for you coming soon....
I love Sarah McLachlan, and I knew I should have gotten up earlier this morning. ;) I'm gonna go check it out on itunes.
ReplyDeleteI actually love that one of our local stations here has started playing Christmas music. Tons of people are annoyed, but not me. Love it!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I have lots of freebie CDs coming up and I won't be posting them at sunrise anymore!
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful addition to add to my Christmas music library. Thanks Dawn for sending these out via your blog today.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs ~ Kat
I have this CD and love it, I actually have it on my ipod and listen to it year round!! great choice!! :) I sent you an e-mail, hope you got it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! We love Christmas tunes too! Doing a giveaway - come on over!
ReplyDeleteWheee!!!! I should probably give you my address, eh? I'll email it to you straightaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the early Christmas present (or birthday present, actually). Now if I get the newest "A Fine Frenzy" from my gift wish list, the music of my life will be complete. :)
If you're not familiar with Loreena McKennit, may I suggest "To Drive the Cold Winter Away" I really, truly don't think you'll be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your comment about lighting a candle for Gwen. You have no idea how comforting that was for me. Thank you.
Be well ~Andrea~
Well, since I am much, much too late to get dibs on the CD, I may have to get back on iTunes and buy it for myself. I love this song, but have never thought to get it. Thank you. Thank you so much for reminding me of how much I love this song.
