My Birthday Dinner... Summit House
Well, you all knew I would be eating on my birthday! A birthday of mine just has to include chocolate. It was decadent. The entire meal was decadent. It was rich and happy.
My mom surprised me by inviting all my siblings. My youngest nieces and nephew were also there.
I am sure that someday I will post on this restaurant again. My pictures just don't do it justice. They are almost all blurry which is partly because of the dim lighting and partly because of the martini.... and champagne.
The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love with it when I was looking for a reception venue but they were all booked up. And I didn't get any pictures of it at dinner Sunday. You'll have to check out the Summit House website and browse thru their gallery. I'd like to go back when the Christmas tree is up.
Stop by my post on OCMetblogs and follow it after the jump to see what we ate!
And thank you everyone for your birthday wishes... I just love all you visible and invisible friends.
Oh man, I don't know what that cake thing is but it looks really, really good.

That lovely chocolate sludge pouring down the cake just made me salivate in an obscene way. Your birthday dinner sounded lovely--what a nice surprise to see all your siblings!

Escargot and creme brulee... I could pretty much make a (highly caloric and deeply wrong) meal out of those two things.
