I'm leaving today with 3 of my bestest friends and we are heading to San Francisco for a 30th Birthday/Bachelorette Extravaganza!
To be honest, until now I haven't really had the time to think about it. Then I started looking for a video on San Francisco and the excitement is overwhelming!
San Francisco may very well be my favorite city on Earth. I love it. There is so much to do in SF I could write thousands of blog posts on it. I could spend the rest of my days people watching and never get bored. Oh and the food. From street vendors to fine dining, San Francisco has it all. There is dining for every taste, from every culture in any atmosphere. The city just breathes life.
I wasn't able to find exactly the right picture to express the city or exactly the right video but I'll try to capture as much as I can while I'm there! We'll be back Monday night.
Have you been to San Francisco?
If so, tell me what you liked about your trip.
If you haven't been, but would like to go, tell me what you would look forward to.
Have fun on your girls' weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI was in SF almost 10 years ago and I don't remember much anymore... beyond that my friends took me to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman's Wharf and a day trip to Muir Woods (highly recommended!).
Oh my gosh! I envy you!!!!!!!! You are going to have such a great time!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate to go to SF on a conference a few years back. What a great place! So many things to see ... so quaint and yet so cosmopolitan!
Two of my favorite memories ...
standing on the SF side of the Golden Gate Bridge. I didn't realize that that beautiful sight would bring me to tears ...
On a bus tour with mostly women my age, as we passed the intersection of Haight-Ashbury, we honestly ALL screamed like we were 13 and seeing the Beatles for the first time!
Have a wonderful time ... if you have a Bailey's think of me!
Enjoy your weekend with the girls! (Be sure to keep that weekend tradition alive for years to come...we need our friends!)
ReplyDeleteI've only been to SF once. It was a Sunday in the summer. I need to go back when there aren't quite so many people! I remember a lot of fog and Nob Hill.
I lived in San Francisco for 10 years. You're right. It is an amazing city. Make sure to go to The Savoy Tivoli in North Beach. I worked there for years. It's a great part of town and a fun place to get a drink.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Have fun! I've never bee, but I've heard good things for my friends :)

Have a mucho good time! San Fran...lots to do there for sure. I actually lived in the Bay Area way back, actually I was just a kid so my only memory of San Fran was the bridge of course and of an Egyptian museum my parents took us to once.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have a great time! I love S.F. and besides Denver, it's the city I've spent the most time in, though it's been a few years. Can't wait to hear all about your adventure:)
ReplyDeleteHave fun, sweetie pie. I am so excited for you. You know all about my favorites of SF. The best was friends, second best was the museums. And that magical bridge. Oh, and Biscuits and Blues. Oh, and people watching. Oh, and...
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
ReplyDeleteI've never been, but am excited to explore various parts of California now that we're here!
I had the pleasure of visiting San Francisco just after my 35th Birthday. I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter and walking some of the hills was a little tough. My hubby got stroller duty with our son who had just turned 2! I want to go back for sure it was a fantastic place to visit. Hope you had an awesome time. Next time around I know I can score bento boxes there too, Bonus!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had TONS of fun... I've never been, but it's definitely on my list!
ReplyDeleteOH, how exciting! I hope you had a marvelous time, got to eat and do all that you want and that you and your friends experienced great bonding time. What an exciting time in life, huh? I am very happy for you and can't wait to hear more about S.F. (I plan to visit there this winter)
ReplyDeleteI went there once to hang out at a homeless shelter and feed people, it was a lot of fun, there was a hole in the wall restaurant that had the best greek food I have ever tasted. I still don't know the name of it though. Good times, I would jump at the opportunity to go there again.
