Spin a Web of Gratitude- August

gratitude_button

Now if you aren't already familiar with Elle Bee of A Bunch of Benhams, than you should head on over there. She is a sweet and witty mom of 3 and she can babble with the best of us. The first time I found her blog I was hooked.

I remember reading that first post and immediately knowing I would be coming back. It was about Strawberry Rhubarb Jam. I laughed, I cried, I adored her children, I wanted her to make me a peanut butter and jam sandwich.

OK maybe I didn't cry but all the rest apply. She can post about making bread and I'll sit giggling in front of the computer. She might have slight ADD but I like to think that she just takes the time to stop and soak in all the little things she sees and appreciates.

Elle had a great idea of a way to recognize our blessings and spread that around. Check out her idea and her list here.

So to add to the virtual web of blessings I am going to follow Elle's lead.

I am grateful for

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough
Big yawns from babies
Antique shopping
Rain
The scent of the ocean
Crisp sheets on the bed
A man whose patience exceeds my craziness
Having enough hair to almost have a real pony tail
Maintaining a sense of humor through the hard times
Incredible food
Soft beagle ears
The magic of getting lost in a book
Good friends, invisible included
Picnics
Purging my brain by writing here
Etta James and Eva Cassidy
A glass of champagne, or two
Chubby babies
Daydreams and fantasies
Waking up and realizing you are living some of them
Twinkling lights
and
my upcoming wedding.

We'd love for you to join us in Spinning a Web of Gratitude! (Totally ingore the fact that I just spoke for the both of us by using "we" because that might seem kinda weird. Like we planned this together.. when I really had nothing to do with this fantastic idea.)

  3. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! You are so fantastic!!! I'm literally vibrating in my chair right now! What an amazing blogging buddy I have in you.

I knew you would have an awesome gratitude list because you freakin' had cancer and yet your posts about it are infused with this sunny wit and I find myself smiling when I should be horrified. We should all have your attitude and strength.

My favorites from your list are:
"A man whose patience exceeds my craziness"
    and
    "Twinkling lights"

    Thanks Dawn. You're the best.
